More than 5000 animals desexed in the SPCA mobile clinic |

Now well into the second year of operation, the SPCA mobile clinic has
achieved more than 5000 free de sexing operations for animals of low
income owners. Roving vet and vet nurse wife Sue visited Tauranga, Waihi, Gisborne, Te Puia Springs, Kaitaia, Kerikeri, Auckland, Waikato, Ngarawahia and Matakana Island. They have just returned to Gisborne and will spend December in Tauranga.. The clinic will be returning to Wellington for the month of
January 2008. Good news is that the effects of this activity and other de
sexing initiatives around the country have resulted in the first ever
reduction in the annual numbers of stray and unwanted animals sheltered
by the SPCA.
